We're sorry to see you go. You have full control over your data.
Before You Delete
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including meal logs, progress tracking, and personal information, will be permanently deleted.
What Will Be Deleted:
- Your account and profile information
- All food logs and calorie tracking data
- Meal plans and nutrition history
- Progress photos and measurements
- Social connections and shared data
- App preferences and settings
- All data synced from Google Fit (from our servers)
What Happens to Subscriptions:
If you have an active subscription, deleting your account will not automatically cancel it. You must cancel your subscription separately through Google Play Store before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
How to Delete Your Account
In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The easiest way to delete your account is through the app:
- Open the Bitefit app
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
- Follow the confirmation prompts
- Your account will be deleted immediately
Email Deletion Request
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion via email:
- Send an email to support@bitefit.pro
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include your registered email address in the message
- For verification, provide your username if possible
Timeline: We will process email deletion requests within 7 business days.
What Happens After Deletion
Immediate (Within 24 Hours)
- Your account is deactivated and you can no longer log in
- Your profile becomes inaccessible to other users
- Active data syncing stops (Google Fit, etc.)
Within 30 Days
- All personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems
- Your information is removed from our databases
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
Within 90 Days
- Data is purged from backup systems
- Complete removal from all Bitefit systems
Data Retention for Legal Compliance
In rare cases, some data may be retained longer if required by law or for fraud prevention, such as:
- Transaction records for accounting purposes
- Logs required by legal obligations
- Information needed for ongoing legal matters
This data is kept secure and separate from active systems.
Alternatives to Deletion
If you're not sure about permanent deletion, consider these alternatives:
Take a Break
Simply uninstall the app and your data will remain safe. You can return anytime and pick up where you left off.
Adjust Privacy Settings
Change your privacy settings to limit data collection or disable certain features like Google Fit sync.
Export Your Data
Before deleting, you can request a copy of your data to keep for your records. Contact support@bitefit.pro to request a data export.
Canceling Subscriptions
Remember to cancel any active subscriptions through Google Play Store:
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon at the top right
- Tap "Payments & subscriptions" then "Subscriptions"
- Find Bitefit and tap "Cancel subscription"
